Dynamic Policy Sensitive Model of Travel Demand

New York has been a hub for the major paradigm shift in transport planning for the last two decades. New York-based Parsons Brinckerhoff has developed a series of travel demand models for cities throughout the U.S. In Zurich, the ETH/Technische Universität Berlin large-scale platform MATSim takes these further by adding traffic flow to the mix—a move also explored by an ETH spinoff, senozon. These workshops and panels examine the two initiatives, using New York as a test subject for implementation.
