Black holes might not be the cosmic forces of destruction we thought they were, but rather essential parts of galaxies like our own Milky Way. Or so speculates Professor Kevin Schawinski, co-founder of Galaxy Zoo, a crowd-sourced online observatory dedicated to deciphering black holes and other such enigmas of the night sky. You are invited to take a multimedia ride through the cosmos: gaze upwards and become a citizen scientist.
